Short poem: Paradox

We all want to escape
Yet waste time waiting for a saviour
We all want to slit our wrists
Just too scared to use the razor

We all want to go away
Hope to find a new tomorrow
Forever stuck in our today
Begging for time that we can’t borrow

We all think it will get better
But we know it might get worse
We are all hustling for blessings
Born in sin, living a curse

We all know that we don’t know
Yet stay arrogant with ignorance
And as our minds strive for black and white
Our grey life sits on the fence

“Paradox is the only Truth” – George Bernard Shaw.
